Heavy rains flood some areas in the city, normal life thrown out of gear

Mangaluru, June 05, 2017 : Mangaluru witnessed heavy rainfall for a few hours resulting in floods and road blocks on June 05, Monday. Creating a number of problems to the citizens, for two-wheeler riders and pedestrians in particular.

The water in the city got accumulated on the roads until it raised to knee level, some areas in the city appeared more congested for more than more than half an hour.Movement of people and vehicles was affected for some time because of the stranded water. The situation was cleared when ultimately rain came down after some time .

The MCC have to take steps to clean the gutters because of which the city faces this situation. In many places the roads are under construction and the pedestrians will have to face lot of problems due to this

Oh God the Jyothi area seems to be flooded, this is mainly because of the the improper drainage system in the city. There is no proper provision for then movement of rain water .
