Health Minister Sriramulu visits Pachanady garbage slip site

Mangaluru, Sep 28, 2019: State Minister for Health and Family Welfare B Sriramulu visited the Pachanady dumping yard on September 27, Friday in the wake of the recent garbage slip that affected as many as 27 families residing in the vicinity.

Several of the aggrieved families who were present on the occasion, narrated their woes and sought early redressal. They even blamed the negligence of the officials for the problem and demanded action against them.

The Minister assured the affected people that he would consult Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and request him to release funds towards compensation.

Later, speaking to reporters, the Minister said he will be submitting a report to the CM on the issue.

District Health Officer Dr Ramakrishna Rao, MCC Deputy Commissioner Gayatri Nayak, MLA Bharath Shetty and others were present.
