Moodbidri, Feb 23, 2014: More and more youngsters must enter the political arena to play an active role in the development of the nation, said Harsha Moily, entrepreneur and Congress leader.
He was giving addressing the students of Alva’s College of Engineering and Technology on ‘Role of Youth in Governance and Public Service’ on February 22, Saturday. Stating that it may be next to impossible to generate job opportunities to the 40 crore youth population of the nation by 2030, Harsha said there is a need for youth to enter politics so that policies and schemes for youngsters are framed.
To a question from a student, he said politics provides a spacious platform to serve the nation. On the huge crowds for Modi rallies, Harsha said the marketing strategy adopted by Modi in multi-media and also through cut-outs is attracting more people. ’But it is impossible for a single person to create a miracle. It needs a team of able MPs, Harsha said.
