Mangalore, March 3, 2014: Union Minister Veerappa Moily’s son Harsha Moily seems to be undeterred by the rejection of his nomination for Congress Primaries slated for March 9.
He has now appealed to the All India Congress Committee questioning the reasons for rejection of his nomination. Harsha who hopes things would be resolved soon has said he was awaiting a clarification from the AICC.
It has been gathered that the AICC Selection Committee had rejected his nomination on the grounds that he was not a ‘social worker’ as specified by him in his nomination papers.
On the other hand, Tejomaya, a Veerappa Moily confidante, senior Congress leader and former MUDA chief , has defended Harsha Moily and adds he(Harsha) is a social worker as he is managing a school for destitute kids at Kukkundur near Karkala. Tejomaya adds that nearly 180 children were studying in the school and does not forget to say that Harsha has not craved publicity for his social work.
