Mangaluru, July 12, 2017 : Former Congressman Harikrishna Bantwal who recently launched a scathing attack on DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai alleging that the latter had offended senior leader Janardhana Poojary, has continued his tirade.
Speaking to press persons here on July 12, Wednesday, Harikrishna Bantwal said that Rai by not turning up at Dharmasthala Kshetra to swear in the name of the Lord that he has not abused Poojary has proved that he had erred.
Harikrishna Bantwal has also claimed that Rai spoke to Poojary over telephone to apologise and also to request against holding any press meet to speak about the issue.
Harikrishna Bantwal also charged Rai of dividing the society rather than uniting it. He further took the minister to task for not attending the funeral of slain RSS worker Sharath Madivala, despite attending the funeral of SDPI leader Ashraf Kalayi who too was murdered.
When scribes drew the attention of Harikrishna towards the fact that Rai had visited Sharath’s residence this morning, he said it was just an attempt to have a clean image.
He demanded shifting of SP office to Puttur, setting up of a police station at Farangipete, and to have CCTV cameras in front of all houses.
