Govt neither favouring police nor protestors : Kota Srinivas Poojary

Mangaluru, Dec 26, 2019: DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Ports and Fisheries Kota Srinivas Poojary has said that the State Government was only in favour of justice and was neither favouring the Police Department nor the protestors.
He was reacting to the recent police firing on CAB protestors in Mangaluru. Addressing press persons at the BJP office on December 26, Thursday, Poojary said opposition leaders Siddaramaiah, Dinesh Gundurao, U T Khader and Kumaraswamy must first introspect before making statements.
He questioned whether stoning, gheraoing police station and attempting to break into an ammunition shop were peaceful means of protest.
He also said that the police themselves decided on firing after taking stock of the situation.
