Govt announces Rs 10 lakh compensation to Kabeer family

Mangalore, April 23, 2014 : The state government has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakhs to the family of Kabeer of Jokatte who was killed in a shoot-out by ANF personnel at Shringeri on April 19, Saturday.
Earlier, DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai met Home Minister KJ George in Bangalore on April 22, Tuesday and held detailed discussions with him on the case and requested him to ensure justice to the family.
He even visited the residence of Kabeer and consoled the grieving members.
