Goddess Sharada idol installed at Acharya Mutt of Sri Venkatramana Temple, Carstreet

Mangaluru, Oct 14 2018: The Pratishta Mahotsav or the installation of the idol of Goddess Sharada at the Vasanth Mantap of the Acharya Mutt of Shree Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet was held on October 13, Saturday.

The rituals including Ranga Pooja were held under the leadership of Bhasker Bhat.

Temple Committee President Dr Umananda Mallya, Secretaries Adige Balakrishna Shenoy, Treasurers Vittal Acharya and others were present.

The Sharada Mahotsava Celebrations will be held till October 20, Saturday.  The Shobha Yatre will be held from 8 pm onwards that day.

A variety of cultural programmes will be held at the Shree Sharada Kalyana Mantap on the outer precincts of the temple every day until October 20.

 A Konkani comedy ’Chelli Dhavnu Gelli’ by Shree Lakshmi Venkateshwara Nataka Sabha, Kundapur will be staged on October 14, Sunday. Various events including devotional songs, Pancha Veena concert, Tulu play ’Sele Sundare’,  dance programmes will be held  on different days. On the final day there will be a musical  programme and variety dance event by Rajyotsava Award winning  Ravindra Prabhu Mulki and Raag-Rang Orchestra team.
