Gangolli: Chinchanasur assures solution to fishermen’s woes

Kundapur:, June 24, 2013  Fishermen of Gangolli drew the attention of State Minister for Ports Baburao Chinchanasur to the several problems confronting them, during the latter’s visit to Gangolli Port and also Trasi where sea erosion problem has aggravated, on June 23, Sunday.

 

 

 

 

The Minister who gave a patient hearing to the problems of the fishermen, assured early solution to the problems. He made it a point that he did not believe in just making promises. On the brake  water problem haunting the Gangolli port under construction as well as the  problems arising due to accumulation of silt, the minister said the matter  had been brought to the notice of the Centre. He further promised to hold talks with the union ministers Veerappa Moily and Oscar Fernandes on the issue and find a solution to the same.

 He also visited the park of the Tourism Department at Trasi which has been damaged due to sea erosion and assured remedial measures at the earliest after consultations with the Chief Minister.
