Gang vandalises house at Kuthar; 2 arrested

Mangaluru, Nov 20, 2016:   An incident wherein a gang  barged into a house at Kuthar and vandalized it, was reported on the evening of November 19, Saturday. The suspicion that a youth in the house had confined a missing young lady in his  house,  is said to have led to this incident.

Ullal Police who swung into action immediately arrested two persons on charges of vandalizing the house. Those arrested are Majeed from Manjanady and Sheeyab from Manjeshwar.
It is said a woman named Sunaina  who had left home stating she had to go to the City Corporation Office had instead  been to Kudroli and had later left the place in a two-wheeler with a youth who arrived there. Sunaina’s sister Mumtaz who had followed  her on suspicion, was a witness to this and had lodged a  missing complaint.

Meanwhile, some people who had set out in search of the  girl, on suspicion that she might have been confined in a house opposite a petrol bunk at Kuttar had barged into the house, following which the house owned had immediately intimated the Ullal Police. The gang though tried to escape in their car on spotting the police, two of them were arrested.

Further investigations are underway.
