Kundapur, April 21,2017 : In a daring case of jewellery theft of a devotee at the Anegudde Vinayaka Temple on April 20, Thursday afternoon, a group of four women unzipped the bag of a woman while she was receiving Arathi after the pooja, and escaped with 80 grams of jewellery. The stolen jewellery included a bangle, necklace and two gold chains.
The women thieves, later reportedly fled in a vehicle. CCTV images revealed the registration number of the vehicle of the thieves and police have launched a search.
The woman who had lost her jewellery, Jyothi hailed from Bengaluru and had visited Anegudde Temple on Thursday after attending a wedding at Kollur the previous day. She was staying at the house of a relative at Ultur.
