Mangaluru: July 2, 2015: A case has been registered at Ullal police station by an estate owner against a Fraudster for duping him of Rs. 70 lakh with a fake promise of providing medical seats to three students at a medical college.

The accused has been identified as Vikram Kumar who runs an education service in Bengaluru called ’Career Guidance’.


Vikram kumar had assured the Victim Subbaiah, that he would help three students in getting medical seats at a medical college in Mangaluru. He asked Subbaiah to pay Rs 36 lakh for each student.


On June 11, Vikram took advance of Rs. 6 lakh from Subbaiah as 2 lakh each from three students at a hotel in Mangaluru.  Vikram took the three students to the Medical College on June 29 Monday and collected the required documents from the college. He asked the students to wait at the reception and left the college.


When Vikram did not return to the college, the students phoned him and found that his mobile was switched off. The students then asked the college management about Vikram, they said they were not aware of who he was.


Realizing that they were duped, the students then informed Subbaiah about the incident who then registered a complaint at the police station. Vikram allegedly took 70 lakh from three students.
