Mangaluru, Jun 08, 2018 : Four people suffered minor injuries when they were struck by a falling portion of a Peepal  tree in Managaladevi Temple due to rain and wind on June 08, Friday evening.

Praveen Suvarna (49), Surekha (63), Naveen (45) and Tejaswini (20) are the injured. They are being admitted to hospital.

Sources said that as it was Friday the Temple was crowded by devotees. CCTV footage of the temple showed on noticing the tree falling the devotees began panicking and got scatteered . Several parked vehicles too were damaged.

Measures are being taken to clear the  branches in the presence of Pandeshwar police and fire personnel.

Just can’t imagine on Friday’s the Temple will be crowded with the devotees. Mother Goddess has saved her children from any major tragedy. We wish a speedy recovery of those injured in the accident
