Mangaluru, June 30, 2020: DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary laid the foundation for various developmental works at the District Wenlock Hospital and Ladygoschen Hospital on June 29, Monday. The works are taken up under Smart City Project. The ceremony was held at the DC office.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said projects worth over Rs 1,000 crore are being taken up in the city under Smart City Project and added that these are vital for the long term development of the city.
MLA Vedavyas Kamath who presided over the function said priority will be laid towards improving the basic infrastructural facilities at the two government hospitals.
Muhammad Nazeer, Mangaluru Smart City Ltd Managing Director said Wenlock developmental works would be taken up at a cost of Rs 5.83 crores while Ladygoschen Developmental works would be taken up at a cost of Rs 2.31 crores.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mayor Diwaker, Deputy Mayor Vedavathi, DC Sindhu Rupesh, Additional DC Roopa and others were present.
