Foundation laid for B.C. Road beautification project

Bantwal, Oct 21, 2019: DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary laid the foundation for the B.C. Road beautification project on October 21, Monday in the presence of Revenue Minister R Ashok, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Bharath Shetty, Sanjeeva Matandoor, SP Laxmi Prasad and a host of dignitaries.
The B.C. Road beautification project has been envisaged with the help of noted architect Dharmaraj. MRPL, NMPT, ONGC, HPCL, KPCL, IOCL will be contributing to this project. If a sum of Rs 10 crore would be utilised from the CSR Fund, the CM has announced an aid of Rs 5 crore.
As part of the project a beautiful garden will be developed beneath the flyover. Drinking water facility too would be provided and a modern lavatory will be constructed. CCTV cameras will be installed, bus bays will be constructed at five places apart from providing parking facility for two-wheelers and autorickshaws.
