Mangalore, Dec 15, 2013: Haji Abdul Khader, former mayor of Mangalore and a senior Congressman passed away on December 14, Saturday night due to a heart attack. He was 76 and has left behind his wife, three sons and four daughters.

Khader had served as Mayor during 1984-85 and was the second Mayor after the Mangalore City Corporation came into being. He had even served as President of Muslim Education Association, Muslim Central Committee and DK Football Association.

His last rites will be held on December 15, Sunday.
