Bengaluru, April 25, 2020: Former convener of Bajrang Dal Mahendra Kumar died of heart attack on Saturday, April 25. He was 47.
Kumar was undergoing treatment at Ramaiah hospital Bengaluru where he breathed his last on Saturday morning. His final rites will be held in his hometown Chikmagalur, informed sources.
Mahendra Kumar was from Koppa in Chikmagalur District. He was earlier the state convenor of Bajrang Dal. He left Bajrang Dal after infamous church attack in Mangaluru in which he was arrested. Later he became a fierce critic of Sangh Parivar and worked as a social activist against Sangh Parivar.
On 21 February 2011 he joined the Janata Dal Party (JDS).
