Bantwa, April 14, 2019: In the wake of complaints that workers of a party were served feast nearby a house warming ceremony venue at Koila village in Bantwal taluk, flying squad officials arrived at the area and conducted an inspection.

Devaki,  wife of late Koragappa Poojary had constructed a new house on the five cents land purchased  by her son. As part of the house warming ceremony various religious rituals as well as lunch  was arranged for the guests.  Food was prepared in a neighbouring compound for the purpose. The flying squad officials visited the place no sooner Bantwal MLA visited the house and left.

It is learnt someone had complained that workers of a particular party were offered feast in the nearby compound  necessitating the raid by the  flying squad  officials.  Later officials confirmed that  the complaint was found baseless.
