First stage of Yettinahole is expected to complete by 2018 says Veerappa Moily

Bengaluru May 31, 2016: Former Union Minister Veerappa Moily said that forst stage of Yettinahole project is expected to complete by the end of 2018.


veerappa moilyAddressing at the Zilla Panchayath awareness and in charge committee meeting at Bengaluru rural Zilla Panchayath on May 30th, he said that KPTCL and other departments have initiated to provide electricity for the first stage for which obstacles was from forest department and has been sorted out. 

He also said that, nearly 124 acres of land required for the first stage for which 51 acre land has already acquired from the farmers. Farmers have come forward to provide land and DC have sent notices for remaining land acquisition.

At the time of monsoon Yettinahole project able to supply 24 TMC of water, overall 8 barrages will be constructed during the project.  As per the blue print a channel will be constructed at Devarayana Durga which created disillusion among the forest department as the area belonged for the same, this issue has been sorted out, said Moily.

He further said that, complaint was been received from the people as 24 TMC water will not be available which can be lifted from Yettinahole only between June to October.

Deputy Commissioner S Palayya, Zilla Panchayath CEO Shailaja, Zilla Panchayath President Prasad, Vice President Ananthakumari were present.
