An official press release said here on Thursday that vehicles carrying EVMs and VVPATs have been fitted with GPS equipment to track their movement.

Meanwhile, at a meeting of local cable television channel operators Mr. Senthil said the operators should get permission of the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee for telecasting advertisements of political parties and candidates.

He said the committee has been keeping a watch on the misuse of the media. The Deputy Commissioner said all channel operators should telecast election-related advertisements at the rate fixed by the district administration.
