Mangaluru, May 21, 2020: An Air India flight under the Vande Bharath Mission carrying around 63 passengers from Muscat landed at the Mangaluru International Airport on May 20, Wednesday night. This is the first flight from Muscat which arrived in Mangaluru to bring stranded NRIs in the wake of Covid-19 lockdown.
The flight had first landed at Bengaluru and had then arrived at MIA at around 8.05 pm. As per protocol the passengers were subject to screening by Health Department officials. They were also provided assistance in money exchange,, SIMs and health kits were distributed to them. Food arrangements were also made. After stamping they were sent to the respective quarantine centres by buses.
