Kundapur, Nov 12, 2015 : Eminent Kannada film director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar and two other members of his film unit sustained injuries in a honey bee attack at Baruve village in Hosanagara taluk on November 11, Wednesday.
Chandrashekhar who suffered bee stings on his head, face, neck and abdomen and was suffering from severe body ache was admitted to the Chinmayi Hospital at Kundapur. He is said to be recovering and is expected to be discharged today.
Others injured are Chandrashekhar’s driver Krishna and a crew member Chandru.
A swarm of honey bees attacked Chandrashekhar and others when they were moving around in Baruve near the Kodachadri hills to identify shooting locations for the film ’Ishtakamya.’ The film unit was staying at a farm house near Baruve.
