Fake Ticket Examiner Apprehended in Train No.22609

Mangaluru, Jan 6, 2016: A person acting as Ticket Examiner in Train No.22609 Mangaluru – Coimbatore Inter City Express on 6th January 2016, aroused suspicion among the passengers. It was the passenger Shri Shafi from Kozhikode, who promptly alerted the Railway authorities about this. The suspect did not have any identity cards or uniform of the Ticket Checking staff. The Commercial Control unit at Palakkad conveyed instructions to apprehend the suspect when the train arrive at Kanhangad Station.

Accrdingly, the Railway Protection Force under the directions of Assistant Security Commissioner(RPF) Palakkad, arrested Shri Niyas. V. P, from Pappinissery, Kannur for impersonating as Railway Ticket Checking Staff, with the help of Ticket Checking Squad and passengers.

 Considering the seriousness of the incident, Shri P. A. Dhananjayan, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Palakkad directed that all the ticket checking staff of the Division should wear their uniforms and identity cards during duty hours and the same should also be shown to the passengers on demand.

Palakkad Division recorded an earnings of Rs.5.16 crores through Ticket Checking from April to December 2015. In order to ensure that on board passengers possess proper travelling authority, the ticket checking activity has been intensified.

The passengers have to be alert and inform the matter to the authority on suspicion. Hats Off ,Shafi. We have to raise voice against the wrong happenings before us. We. have right to speech

How can Niyaz ever think of fooling around the passengers. No collector enters the train without the uniform.
