Mangaluru, Mar 04, 2015: Six students of Govinda Dasa College Suratkal who were suspended in the Face Book photo case , have been allowed back and action revoked as per reports. They were suspended by the principal of the college for violating rules relating to not bringing cell phones into the college.
A photo circulated, showing a student lying on the laps of five seated girl students, had been uploaded in Facebook. In the incident, a student was kidnapped and beaten up. Protests were held before the college demanding strict action against the students, the principal had suspended the students after calling a meeting with their parents. The matter had been referred to the university. Students Federation of India Dakshina Kannada district unit has welcomed the decision to revoke the suspensions.
