Explosives case : Biju Thomas to be in judicial custody till May 17

Karkala, May 6, 2014 : A court in Karkala has remanded Biju Thomas, the prime accused in the explosives case to judicial custody till May 17.
Thomas was earlier entrusted to police custody till May 4, after he was produced before the court on April 29 consequent upon his arrest.
Biju Thomas was on the run for quite some time ever since the Karkala police under the directions of SP Annamalai had seized huge quantity of explosives worth several crores of rupees from various places in the taluk.
