Mangalore, Jan 8, 2014: It has been reliably gathered that senior Congress leader and former mayor K Ashraf has resigned from the primary membership of the party. It is believed that Ashraf resignation was in protest against the party nominating a non-Congressman as a member of the DK District Waqf Advisory committee.
But sources also reveal that this might not be the only reason for Ashraf’s resignation and that he was planning such a move since long as he was unhappy over the party for sidelining him.
Here it is worth mentioning that Ashraf had on several earlier occasions openly aired his resentment against his party with the media rather than discussing the issue with party leaders.

The Congress has always been doing this to its members specially to those who are clean and non-controversial. |
