Mangaluru, Oct 3, 2017: Former Kudligi DySP Anupama Shenoy who had hit the headlines by quitting her post to protest against political pressure is now all set to float a new regional party. If everything goes as per plan, candidates from Anupama Shenoy’s new party would contest the coming elections.
Anupama who was away from limelight for almost one and a half years after bidding good bye to police service, now plans to take on maladministration and the corrupt system through her new party.
On Gandhi Jayanthi day she also deliberated about her future plans with like minded people at a meeting held at her residence at Uchila. A second meeting in this regard will be held on October 15 while the official announcement of the new party would be made in November first week.
"Floating a new party is no easy task. I am ready to face all challenges that come its way," says a confident Anupama.

I am delighted to learn that Anupama Shenoy is floating a party. I wish her all the luck. I am sure that there will be some who will discourage her by saying politics is dirty. Well it is dirty because good people are keeping away. I have contested elections and showed how one can get votes without spending any money. I got more votes than the former mayor who spent a lot. I will be happy to give any assistance to this new party based on my experience. | |
