Mangalore Feb 17, 2016: District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai has alleged that the erstwhile BJP government achieved nothing during its regime in the state.
Speaking to the press at Congress office on February 17,Wednesday Rai said that during the period 2007-2013, the then UPA Government had sanctioned Rs 63 crores under the Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Scheme, while so far the NDA government had sanctioned just Rs 3 crores under this scheme. The people are disillusioned with the Union Government, he said.
He was also critical of the Union Government for not reducing petroleum prices in the count r y despite there being a drastic reduction of petroleum prices in the international market from 128 dollars a barrel to 28 dollars.
The promise of bringing black money back to the country has also not been fulfilled by the NDA government, he complained.
