Mangalore, April 27, 2014: DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has directed the officials to take immediate remedial measures to solve the water shortage problem that has affected several rural areas of the district.
He was participating in a meeting convened at the DC office meeting hall on April 26, Saturday in the backdrop of the water problems in various parts of the district during peak summer. “Ensure that no village suffered due to shortage of water,” Rai instructed officials.
ZP Chief Executive Officer Tulasi Maddineni who also spoke, said all arrangements have been made to supply water through tankers to various water scarcity hit areas in Mangalore and Bantwal taluks.
Officials of various departments concerned attended the meeting.
