Mangaluru, Dec 27, 2017: Members from Endosulfan Victims’ Rehabilitation Centres in Kokkada in Belthangady and Koila village in Puttur, visited Tannirbavi beach, Sulthan Bathery and Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple in Mangaluru, during a trip organised by Seva Bharati, Mangaluru.

Endosulfan rehabilitation centre inmate Abhishek said that his dream of going to a beach came true. He was seeing the beach for the first time, he added.  Satyajit, Narayana, Tulasi, Navin, Sadat, Ramshid and others shared their excitement on the occasion.

One student, Vidya’s mother Rajivi and, another student Pradeep’s mother Revathi said that their children did not have an opportunity to go to school excursions like other normal children. Mangaluru tour gave them a memorable experience, which would be cherished always.

After visiting the beach, the children travelled to Sulthan Bathery on a boat. They had their lunch in Kodroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple. The Endosulfan cell of the District Health Department extended their cooperation.

Volunteers from Kalpa Trust, Rangers-Rovers unit members from Government First Grade College, Kavoor, Kokkada-Koila Endosulfan Rehabilitation Centre Manager, also lent their cooperation for the event.

Endosulfan Nodal Officer Dr Arun, Sajuddin, Sumathi Shenoy, Vinod Shenoy, Nagaraj Bhat, Shantaram Pai from the Seva Bharati Trust and Pramila H Rao from Kalpa Trust were present.
