Drug abuse awareness on June 26

Mangalore, June 25, 2014: LINK Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (Mangalore) in association with Indian Red Cross Society (DK unit) and Junior Red Cross, Youth Red Cross and Youth Red Cross unit of University College Hampankatta has organised an awareness programme on alcohol and drug addiction effects and competitions for high schools, colleges and educational institutions, as a part of “International Day against Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking,” on June 26 at Ravindra Kala Bhavan at University College in Mangalore between 9.30 am and 2 pm.

As a part of the programme, acollage and slogan competition on the theme “Drug abuse and its impact” will also be held. The competition will be held in three categories: High school level (8th to10th), PUC level and Degree / post graduation level.

 

One teacher and three students can participate in the programme from each school in each categry. There will be three prizes for collage and slogan in each category along with aparticipation certificate. The last day to confirm participation for contest is June 25.
