Belthangady, Nov 13, 2023: Police have fined a driver for using his ambulance for a private trip at Ujire in Belthangady taluk.

The ambulance driver Tyagaraj had used his ambulance to travel to Dharmasthala and Ujire from Bengaluru, along with his six friends.

Police who gathered information regarding this stopped the vehicle near Ujire and seized the vehicle.

At the station, the driver admitted that he had used his ambulance for a temple tour with his friends. Traffic police let the driver off after slapping a penalty and issuing a warning.
