Mangalore, July 9: Dr. Vinaya Hegde, the chancellor of Nitte University, inaugurated the Prof. Dr. N. Shridhar Shetty Annual Endowment Lecture organized at A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences (ABSMIDS), and lauded the great achievements of Prof. Dr. N. Sridhar Shetty, the founder principal of ABSMIDS. The talk was held in honor of Prof. Dr. N. Sridhar Shetty’s on the occasion of his birthday.

ABSMIDS Dean Prof. Dr. Krishna Nayak delivered the felicitation address and said that the endowment lecture will be held every year in future. 

In response to the honor bestowed on him, Prof. Dr. N. Sridhar Shetty recalled his experiences as the principal of ABSMIDS and said that he was successful because of the hard work of the students, the management, and faculty members. 

Prof. Dr. E. G. R. Solomon, professor in prothodontics at Saveetha Dental College in Chennai, an internationally acclaimed teacher, delivered the endowment lecture titled “Applied Anatomy of Temporomandibular Joint.” Prof. Dr. Jithesh, the head of the department of community dentistry at Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences in Virajpet, delivered an endowment lecture titled “Concepts and Vision of Dr. N. Shridhar Shetty – An Insight” with the help of audio-visual aids. 

Prof. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the dean of ABSMIDS, and Dr. Shubhan Alva were also present. Dr. Mujamdar, the president of the Dental Council of India, had paid a surprise visit to the college.
