Dr Jayaprakash K P awarded degree of DM Critical Care Medicine

Mangaluru, Feb 06, 2018: Dr Jayaprakash K P has been awarded the degree of DM Critical Care Medicine and became the first Physician (MD Medicine background) in India to hold the degree and one among fewer than 20 people (MD Anaesthesia background included) in India to acquire the degree.

 

Dr Jayaprakash K P received the degree from the Hon’ble Vice-President Shri Venkaiah Naidu at the Convocation ceremony held on 22 January 2018 at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. Tata Memorial Centre is the first institution in the country to start DM Critical Care course in India.

 The DM Critical Care program is designed for trainees to develop not only advanced proficiency in the management of all aspects of the care of adult critically ill patients but also the skills necessary to excel as leaders in critical care.

Dr Jayaprakash plans to raise the standards of care for critically ill patients and set up a Critical Care Department in Mangaluru.
