Mangalore, Dec 27, 2013 : State Minister for Health and family Welfare UT Khader has said that there should be no politics on the issue pertaining to the recent case of kidnapping and blackmailing two medical students of a private college at Derlakatte after forcing them to indulge in sex.
Speaking to the media at Circuit House on December 26, Thursday, Khader while referring to the statement of former CM DV Sadananda Gowda that the law and order scenario in the district had deteriorated under the Congress rule, made it a point that strict action has been taken against all the accused in the case reported from Ullal which also happens to be the constituency represented by the minister.
Khader clarified that there was no question of shielding the accused in the case and warned that any police personnel who errs in discharging his duties diligently in the case, would also face action.
While admitting that such incidents dent the image of the district, Khader said he had already instructed the ACP to take up a thorough investigation. He further said the police department has been issued instructions to register suo moto case if any such case is reported in the future.
