Distribution of ’Mantrakshate’ of Ayodhya Sri Ram temple from January 1: VHP

Mangaluru, DEc 21, 2023: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) members and affiliated groups are set to embark on a house-to-house visit campaign across the state from January 1 to 15, 2024. During these visits, they will distribute ’mantrakshate’ brought from Ayodhya and extend invitations for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple scheduled for January 22. This information was conveyed by M.B. Puranik, the Executive President of VHP Mangaluru Pranta, during a press briefing in Mangaluru on Wednesday.

Puranik revealed that the VHP aims to connect with approximately 80 lakh Hindu and other families across the state during this period. He urged everyone to mark this historic event by celebrating in their local temples through bhajans, keertans, and other religious observances, suggesting that the consecration ceremony should be celebrated akin to Diwali.

As one of the invitees to the ceremony, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to participate, Puranik expressed that the realization of the dream to witness Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya is materializing for many devout Hindus. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by numerous activists for the fulfillment of this long-cherished aspiration.

Sharan Pumpwell, the Co-Convenor of VHP Mangaluru Pranta, added that their outreach efforts would cover 8 lakh households in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Kodagu districts between January 1 and 15. A significant public engagement program is scheduled for January 7, involving the distribution of ’mantrakshate,’ invitations, and photographs of the Ram temple. Multiple teams, including members from various social organizations, have been mobilized for this initiative.
