Mangaluru, Feb 25, 2017 : Reports are rife that District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai warned of stringent action against those who disrupt communal harmony and create unrest in the disstrict during the visit of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Kerala CM Vijayan is scheduled to take part in a communal harmony rally today Feb 25,  Saturday.

 

ramanath 25 feIn an interface with media on Feb 24, Friday, the minister said the district administration has been directed to ensure that no untoward incidents take place in the district. The Sangh Parivar members are trying to create confusion in the minds of the people and have taken an undemocratic stand by calling for a hartal in protest against Vijayan’s visit, he added.

He said there is a lot of difference between the politics practised in Kerala and Karnataka. The Right Wing organisations are unnecessarily trying to disrupt communal harmony in the district, he said and appealed to the people not to heed to rumours and not to be part of any unconstitutional and undemocratic stand of the Sangh Parivar members.

Rai said Vijayan is a chief minister elected in a democratic manner. It is not right on the part of any organisations to call for a bandh during his visit to the district, he added.
