Mangaluru, Jan 6, 2017: A Digital Display Vehicle of the City Police Commissionerate, aimed at creating awareness among the Public about crime prevention,. was launched by DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai at a function held at the Police Commissioner’s Office premises on January 6, Friday. A brochure on Crime Prevention was also released by the minister on the occasion.
In his address, Rai said this was the first Digital Display Vehicle to be launched in the state.
City Police Commissioner M Chandra Shekhar who also spoke said the new vehicle will be on the roads for the next two months. Later, it will be pressed into this awareness service for two hours every day. The vehicle will sensitize people against falling prey to fraudsters and fake calls too, he added.
Shantharaju, Sanjeeva Patil, DCPs, Vittal Shenoy, DGM of Corporation Bank were also present among others.
