Mangaluru, Sep 17, 2020:    Community participation is essential in serving the poor, said DK Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V.

He was speaking at a programme organised by M Friends Charitable Trust to commemorate 1,000 days of uninterrupted food supply to the attendants of Wenlock Hospital patients.

He said supplying food for the attendants of poor patients is a noble cause.

“In spite of government announcing various welfare programmes, we have to adhere to the limitations while implementing the welfare scheme. However, various organisations can carry out various welfare programmes by overcoming the limitations,” he added.

He lauded M Friends Trust for supplying uninterrupted food for the attendants of the patients for the past 1,000 days.

The district administration will chalk out a plan for the construction of dharmachatra for the attendants of the patients, he said.
