Mangaluru, Nov 2, 2014: JD(S) Supremo HD Deve Gowda and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy will be in Mangalore on November 5 to address a party workers meeting to be held at Shanti Nilaya at Balmatta at 10 am. The meet has been convened in view of the leadership’s decision to revamp the party.
This was informed to reporters here on November 1, Saturday by B Mohammad Kunhi, District President of the JD(S).
Kunhi further said the presence of four ministers in the district has not helped the district and added that the officials are in a confused state due to the interference of the ministers in administrative affairs. He also alleged that the administrative machinery has completely collapsed.
The absence of a MCC Commissioner has also hit developmental works, he said and demanded measures to solve the ration card and power supply problems.
He further placed forth a demand to reduce government and private bus fares considering the cut in diesel and petrol prices.
JD(S) leaders Amarnath Shetty, MB Sadashiva, SP Chengappa, Muneer Mukkacheri, Corporators Abdul Azeez, Rameeza Nazeer and others were present.
