Derogatory FB post against BJP leader Rahim Uchil ; complaint filed

Mangaluru, July 21,2017 : BJP leader and former president of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy Rahim Uchil has lodged a complaint at Hubballi sub-town police station with regard to the defamatory post and photo regarding him in Facebook.

A Facebook account holder by name William Pinto had posted a defamatory photo as well as a post which states that "Temple Management Board at a meeting held this morning has decided to appoint Sri Sri Rahim Poojary as the Chief Priest of Hubballi city’s Siddaroodha Mutt." The man has also posted a picture wherein Rahim is seen in the so called shrine.

According to Rahim he had visited the Siddaroodha Mutt during his visit to the town as part of the party’s Vistarak scheme. He said he was offered a shawl and honoured there. Being happy about it he had even posted the photo on his FB page, which he said has been misused by some communal minded person.

He said he would also file a complaint at Pandeshwar Police Station in Mangaluru.
