Mangalore, Feb 4, 2014 : The victims of the Derlakatte kidnap and blackmail case have identified the accused at an identity parade held at the District jail premises in the city. Both the victims are students of a private medical college and were reportedly forced by the assailants to indulge in sex so that the same could be videographed to blackmail them.
Police had arrested a total of eight persons in this case. The accused had threatened the victims to upload the video clippings on internet and also inform their parents and college principal if they were not paid Rs 25 lakhs. The incident had taken place on the night of December 18.
Reliable sources said during the identity parade the accused tried to threaten the victims through their body language.
