DK takes first place in State ’Pratibha Karanji’

Udupi, Dec 18, 2015 :  According to a media release issued, Dakshina Kannada was declared the champion district with 53 points. Udupi district was in the second place with 43 points, while Sirsi educational district was in the third place with 38 points. Dakshina Kannada had always topped the ’Pratibha Karanji’  competitions except the last year.

The Pratibha Karanji comprises cultural competitions for high school students. The event was organised by the district administration, zilla panchayat and Department of Public Instruction at the Vidyaniketan School.

Speaking at the valedictory function, Priyanka Mary Francis, CEO of Zilla Panchayat, said that competitions such as the Pratibha Karanji instilled confidence among students.

It would develop their personalities and later help them to face bigger challenges. She hoped that Pratibha Karanji would emerge as one of the biggest fests for the students. K.P. Acharya, Correspondent of Vidyaniketan School, was felicitated on the occasion. Shekhar, DDPI (Development) welcomed the gathering. H. Diwaker Shetty, DDPI (Administration) proposed a vote of thanks.
