DK Minister B Ramanath Rai asks SP to put Kalladka Bhat behind bars

Mangaluru, June 19, 2017: Reports spell out a video of Forest minister and District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai giving instructions to Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police Bhushan Gulabrao Borase to register a case against RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and put him behind bars going viral.

In a video footage lasting over a minute, Rai is seen to indicate to SP Borase and few others present to file a case against Prabhakar Bhat under section 307 of Indian penal Code, in case he makes provocative speeches.

He is also seen telling that the RSS leader is a coward and once lodged inside the prison will never come out and those following him will flee after that. Rai is seen recollecting the past, where a s first time MLA he had taken stern steps to chase the RSS leader from the area.

It may be recalled, incidents of violence have taken place in the last few days causing injury to many and damages to public property after tension gripped Kalladka over fight between gangs of two different communities. Despite prohibitory orders, few violations have been witnessed in the trouble-torn town.

Strong measures have been taken by the police department to ensure peace in the area with few arrests and extension of prohibitory orders. Additional forces have been summoned to beef up security in the area from nearby districts to maintain law and order.
