Mangaluru, Feb 18, 2020: New Mangalore Deputy Inspector General SB Venkatesh, District Commander No. 3 Headquarters, Coast Guard (Karanataka) called on H.E. Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala on 15 Feb 2020.
The meeting held at Raj Bhavan was a courtesy call. Various facets and developments pertaining to Indian Coast Guard, especially in Karantaka were briefed to the Governor.
With the ever increasing challenges of security and safety at sea, discussions were focussed on strengthening the maritime domain of the coastal state of Karnataka. The Governor was also briefed on the progress of future developments. During the interaction, H.E. Governor was assured that Indian Coast Guard in Karantaka would continue providing rescue and relief to the fishermen whenever they were in distress at sea. The efforts of the state administration in strengthening Coastal Security mechanism was also conveyed to the Governor.
