DHRC Tours & Travels, M G Road again out to cheat nursing professionals?

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, May 24, 2014 : Barke police have received more than 50 complaints from nursing professionals it is learnt. An establishment by the name DHRC Tours & Travels, said to be a self appointed ’Recruiting Agent’, located at ’Inland Avenue Building at Ballalbagh, MG Road, Mangalore.

The complainants have alleged DHRC,  collected more than a crore of cash from them with promises of nursing jobs in Singapore and has  closed its doors with no sign of those responsible nor the money paid.  The complaint names the ’DHRC Manager’  one Pradeep Kumar and his recruitment ’executives’ named Mohamad Ali and Praveen.

DHRc 24Most of the victims are said to be from Kerala, currently working as  BSc/ GNM nurses in Kerala, Karnataka and other states. All the complainants say they paid  one lakh rupees each to register. A couple of weeks ago,  job Visa was e-mailed to them and they again had to visit  the firm with certificates and other documents, when a second payment was made the agency. The candidates were told that they were to attend a test on May 28  in Singapore before taking up the job.  When  the candidates visited  the office on May 21 and after,  the trio—Pradeep, Praveen, Muhammadali-- were not there and the office staff  said that their mobile phones were switched off and not reachable nor did they have any instructions.

In  October  2013,  local media had exposed  DHRC’s illegal nursing recruitment activities for Singapore and West Asian countries without any  authority  from the Protector of Emigrants (POE) which comes under Union Ministry of External Affairs that grants license. DHRC has been in to such recruitment posing as being authorised by others names and  license called  Waves India, located at Thiruvalla in Kerala. However, Waves India, and  the persons concerned clarified that they have no link with DHRC. There after the firm discontinued recruitment operations stating  that they  are arranging licence and so on..... DHRC resumed recruitment drive claiming they had obtained the license. The complainants also maintain that now Waves India,  is also in this with DHRC and the actual  money swindled is larger by any  calculation.

Indeed it is pathetic to note how gullible and greedy even educated and aware people are when it comes to paying illegally for overseas jobs which have no security.  The authorities on their part warn of such illegal means and the dangers they pose.
