DCC pays tribute to Father of the Nation on his 66th death anniversary

Mangalore, Jan 30, 2014: As a part of 66th death anniversary, the members of District Congress Committee (DCC) paid tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation located at Gandhi Park in Town Hall on January 30, Thursday.

Ibrahim Kodijal Interim District president of the Congress party said that it is the duty of citizen of our country to remember the great personality like Mahatma Gandhi who fought for the freedom of our country.

He also said that Gandhiji had taken up an effort to build the Congress party and has inspired many congress leaders to initiate developmental work.

KPCC General Secretary Ivan D’Souza, Prabhakar Shriyan, Kripa Alva, Suresh Shetty, Divakar, Suresh Ballal, corporator Shashidhar Hegde and others were present.
