Mangaluru, Nov 14, 2015:   Dakshina Kannada District Administration has extended the prohibitory orders  under Section 144 imposed in the district upto 10 pm on November 15 in the wake of the untoward incidents in the aftermath of Tipu Jayanthi celebrations.

A B Ibrahim-DC...Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim has informed that various official programmes which were earlier scheduled to be held on November 14 and 15 stand postponed.


He also stated that the Makkala  Habba supposed to be held at Pilikula on these two days  has been put off as is the ChildLine Se Dosti programme by ChildLine Mangaluru at Shivaram Karanth Nisargadhama, Pilikula.

Meanwhile, the District unit of the BJP too has put up off its Janasankalpa Yatra which was to be taken out from Subrahmanya to Kateel, beginning from November 14, Saturday.

Even the Sahyadri Samrakshana Sanchaya which had planned a motor bike rally against Yettinahole project, has decided to hold the rally on November 22.

The Chidren’s Day celebration has been postponed is better because when the situation is not under control and no one will risk to send children to the celebration.
