DC Prakash takes charge as interim administrator of MCC

Mangalore, Feb 21, 2013 : Deputy Commissioner N Prakash has taken charge as the interim administrator of Mangalore City Corporation on February 21, Thursday.

 

 

The DC will be the in-charge of the Corporation until elections to the MCC are held and a new council takes charge.

The civic body polls are slated to be held on March 7.

Speaking to reporters after taking charge, the DC said the administration will give top priority to drinking water issue and see to it that the city does not face drinking water problem this summer as   last year.

Even the Solid Waste Management process will get due attention, he said.

The DC further informed that the functioning of the MCC will continue as usual under his guidance. All the decision making powers of the MCC are now vested with the Deputy Commissioner.
