Mangaluru, Dec 21, 2019: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa who spoke to reporters after reviewing the law and order situation in Mangaluru, has said that curfew will be relaxed from 3 pm to 6 pm on Saturday. City bus services to be normal.
Again curfew will be lifted on Sunday morning and will be relaxed till 6 pm. Curfew will be re-imposed from 6 pm on Sunday till midnight. The CM said there will be no curfew on Monday but prohibitory orders under Section 144 will continue.
An enquiry into the situation involved in the death of two persons on Thursday, December 19 will be ordered after discusion with the Home Minister Bommai. There will also be an enquiry to be made into the circumstanced where eight Malayalam journalists were detained on Friday, December 20, he said.
The Chief Minister said he also met leaders of the minority community and held discussions on the situation and on the demand to provide compensation to the family of the two deceased persons.
